Carmel FC is excited to share that it has purchased a Veo system for use starting this spring. Veo is a portable video solution that enables teams to record and analyze matches as well as training sessions without the need for a camera operator. The system uses artificial intelligence to track the ball on the field as well two 180’ 4k lenses to create a broadcast experience. Features of this system allow coaches and players to zoom in, draw, tag players, cut/clip and save parts of a game or session for purposes of training or highlight videos. This is a significant tool for player development.
Use of the system will be primarily for 11v11 games and for training sessions. Teams will have to take turns using it. Our younger teams will have access when the system is not being used by those older teams. All players will have individual accounts and access to the videos they are in.
Juergen Sommer, the club’s Director of Soccer Operations shares, “Veo is an all-in-one solution for Carmel FC, a real game changer. We’ll be able to watch and review our games and training sessions, analyze our teams and players performances; share and comment on the highlights from our games with our staff and players. Capturing every single moment of the game in great video quality will be a tremendous resource for our coaches and players to share tagged events during live match play
Jeremy Slivinski, General Manager of Carmel FC, shared his thoughts on this purchase. “I had the opportunity last fall to see this system in use and was extremely impressed with the quality and functionality of it. This is the next step in our progression as we develop high level players and teams for our club. Being able to support our players with this system as well as with access to Carmel Dads’ Club’s new indoor facility opening later this year places us on a level playing field with the clubs around us. We are the only volunteer based club in the state of Indiana perennially placing teams in the highest levels of youth soccer competition. This helps us continue that success.”
