Carmel FC Alums - Kicking Off College Soccer 2023

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Men’s Developmental Soccer team (NAIA) has two Carmel FC players making their freshman year appearances!

Itay Adi (19) and JD Slivinski (20) are both seeing significant playing time and enjoying their new roles in a collegiate setting within the University of Saint Francis Athletics – Men’s Soccer Program.

The Cougars compete in a very competitive conference, NAIA’s Crossroads League, which produced last years 2022 National Champions – Bethel University. The University of Saint Francis men’s soccer team played host to the No. 8-Ranked Bethel University (Ind.) Pilots Saturday evening at Bishop John M. D’Arcy Stadium. The Cougars were able to earn 1-point in a 1-1 draw.

Head Coach Mamba Chisoni will be entering his first season as the Head Coach of the Cougars. Chisoni joins USF from Bethel University (Ind.). Chisoni was a part of the Pilots Men’s Soccer program for 5 seasons and helped lead their team to the NAIA National Tournament with a 24-1-1 record & a National Title last season. Chisoni was also a member of the U20 Zimbabwe team along with his accolades playing in the MLS, USL League, & the Big South Conference.
