Carmel FC is pleased to announce the addition of Michael Caine as our Associate Director of Soccer Operations. Michael began his duties with the club this week.

Michael joins our club after serving as Director of Soccer Operations at Port Orange Soccer Club located in Port Orange Florida. His previous roles included Director of Coaching at Florida Elite Soccer Academy, Director of and Coaching at Wakefield Soccer Association (Massachusetts). He has also had roles as a head coach, club coach and player development coach since 2006 when he arrived to the states from Wolverhampton, England.

Since his arrival to the United Sates Michael has earned his USSF B and USSF C Coaching licenses as well as the USSF Director of Coaching Diploma. From his United Kingdom background he holds n NVQ Level 1 and 2 in Football Coaching, PFSA Level 1 Opposition Analysis, PFSA Level 1 Technical Scouting, and FA Level 1 & 2 certification. He brings over two decades of experience and knowledge of youth soccer operations to our club.

Juergen Sommer, our Director of Soccer Operations, shared this about Michael, “From the moment we received his resume we could tell Michael has the experience and knowledge we want to help develop the Carmel FC experience for our players and families.” Jeremy Slivinski, our General Manager had this to say, “Club leadership had the opportunity to host Michael for a weekend earlier this fall for an in-person interview and tour of our club. It was obvious by the end of that weekend Michael would fit perfectly with our culture. I am excited about his focus on player development, parent engagement and volunteer support interests.”

With the new addition to staff Carmel FC leadership will be realigning roles and responsibilities over the next few months. We are excited about our future with both Juergen and Michael leading our club.

Michael, his wife Nicole and two sons Noah (13) and Jack (11) recently moved here from Florida for this opportunity. We look forward to having them join our community.
